CWSN organized a workshop on “The Situation of Child Labor at Hotel/Restaurants and the Role of the Stakeholders for its abolition” in coordination of our three alliance partners, Forum of Human Rights and Environment (FOHREn), Seto Gurans and Bal Samaj Nepal. The workshop was another series of campaign, "Children’s right to Family" which was held at Biratnagar on 10th July 2013. Since, the child labor has become greater problem especially in the urban areas; the main objective of organizing the workshop is to spread the greater awareness among the stakeholders about the child rights and child protection. There were all total 50 participants from different sectors like governmental, non-governmental, professional organizations, trade union, different child clubs, rescued children with their parents, civil society, media and many more.
All the participants had the same voice regarding the protection of child rights as they emphasized on the necessary of proper environment and the fulfillment of the basic needs of the children and the family as well. For this, the parents should also treat their children as their psychology which helps for their proper development. Similarly, they gave importance on the awareness program regarding anti-child labor and for making and implementing the child friendly law.
