On the occasion of 12th World Day against Child Labour, CWSN organized a District-Level Open Folk Song Competition, Kaski on 11th June 2013 at Chipledhunga, Pokhara.  The title of the competition was “The Role of Family in Child Rights Protection” that aimed to spread out the message to initiate child rights protection from children's families. There were altogether twenty-five teams representing from schools, child clubs, mothers' groups and other different organizations. The program was divided into two sessions including Inauguration and Folk song competition. The former session was hosted by the organization’s IT Officer whereas the later one by the folk singer and the main judge of the competition, Mr. Prajapati Parajuli.
In this competition, Shree Yuba Aawaaj Nepal, Anju Parajuli’s team, Jagriti Krishak Tarkari team and Chandra Karki’s team respectively got first, second, third and fourth prizes. In addition, one of the differently able girl Smriti Sunar (with false leg) from Shree Jana Prakash Higher Secondary School got the best dancer award in the programme.

Besides, there was a program of Poster Release by the Chief Guest, Mr. Yagya Prasad Adhikari, the head of National Human Rights Commission, Pokhara, together with the secretary of CWSN, the Country Focal person of CSACRSA and the other guests. In fact, there are 5 different drawings made in this poster showing the examples of child rights in a society.
The program became very successful  in the sense that a huge mass, more than 1500, were participated including all types of people from child to senior citizens, school teachers, street children, household workers, tourists and many more.
